#TWIB, books

But every month is National Book Month!

October is National Book Month, at least according to social media and all those calendars of obscure holidays. But in my world, every month is National Book Month.

While I never intended (and still don’t) to become a “book blogger,” reading is the one thing I do consistently every single day, no matter what, and it’s an activity I’m truly passionate about; so I guess it makes sense that I talk/blog about it a lot.

It’s been a long time since I’ve played along with Lipsyy’s This Week in Books, which is silly because it’s a great way to share what I’m currently reading.

Links to books mentioned below will take you to my Amazon Affiliate page. Any money I earn from qualifying purchases goes to the upkeep of this website, including the funding of giveaways.

Then

I finished SOLDIER by Julie Kagawa a few days ago. It’s, so far, her best book of the Talon series (and maybe any of her series).

There’s really no better way to describe my feelings for it than the tweet I composed right after reading it:

Seriously, I can’t stop thinking about it.

Now

Because I’m on hold for the next book in the Talon series (insert whine), I wanted a collection of short stories so that I could easily put the book down as soon as Kagawa’s is available to me. A perfect palette cleanser after an action-packed and emotional read, GEEKTASTIC is a lot of fun to get lost in.

It’s almost like a collection of fan fiction from authors we all fangirl over, and that makes it even more delightful.

Next

I have been refreshing my library holds page obsessively everyday to see if LEGION has been returned.

It hasn’t. Wait. No, it still hasn’t.

What book have you recently finished? What are you reading now? What do you plan to read next? Let me know — because there’s no such thing as too many books to read!

Your thoughts are worth a Second Glantz!
