Looking at the names of the democratic presidential candidates on my ballot, I was filled with a sense of pride seeing a female name finally among them. I admittedly got a little teary-eyed as I filled in the bubble beside Hillary’s name. Even if she doesn’t win, I got to be a part of history that I will be proud to tell my daughter and her daughter about, for they will hopefully live in a time when seeing female, black, and Hispanic presidents is no longer a historic phenomenon.
